Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, has an incredible history that dates back to the 11th century and is a very popular tourist destination. It has a famous Castle, a Zoo, many museums, Art Galleries, three Universities and home to the Scottish Parliament.
Edinburgh has become one of the must see cities of the world. There are still many historical sites that were constructed in the fifteenth century, such as John Knox House & Gladstones Land, both on the Royal Mile.
Edinburgh City was made a world heritage site in 1995.
Our Outlander filming locations are relatively close to the city, with a couple within the city limits. One of our most popular Outlander destinations is Falkland which doubles as Inverness in the show, here you can dine in Mrs Baird’s B&B (which is actually The Covenanter Hotel) If you wish to dine here, we will require 72 hours notice.
Whatever tour you book, you will be looked after, as the size of our tour groups are small, you receive a little bit more TLC than you would on larger bus group tours.
A typical day of Touring with Edinburgh Outlander Tours starts with a phone call from your driver the day before to make sure that your every need is catered for.
The day ends with your driver dropping you back at your hotel or any destination within the city limits, a restaurant for example.
